Austrian 470 teams climb the rankings

Since signing up for Paul Brotherton's coaching, both the womens' and mens' teams have shot to top ten positions in the ISAF rankings.

Paul Brotherton was appointed to coach the Austrian 470 teams in July 2005. Over the remaining six months of last year he set them a programme of training based around the methodologies of My Sailing Coach, culminating in the Miami Olympic Classes Regatta in January this year.

In this time:

The men's team of Matthias Schmid and Florien Reichstaetter have risen to 9th place after originally being down in 23rd
The women's team of Sylvia Vogl and Carolina Flatscher have climbed from 10th position to 3rd in the world

Paul commented "It shows the effects that a real commitment to training can have. Both teams have enthusiastically embraced the training methodologies presented, and the results are evident."
